Over 120 years ago, M. Jacoby KG was founded in Rivenich in the district of Trier. The Son Matthias Jacoby, who aws already working in the traditional family farming business and viticulture, was one of the first manufacturers to start building backpack sprayers for vermin control in 1904. With great demand, own innovations and preservance during both world wars, Jacoby succeeded in increasing the efficiency and productivity of farmers immensly!

From 3D scan to in-game model
Computerized technical documentation of machines has long been established. However, many machines are significantly older than many CAD systems and were still created on paper, such as the Jacoby EUROtrac 2000 sprayer. Neither the manufacturer nor any records of the machine exist 25 years after it was built. Using a combination of our two 3D scanners, Artec Ray II and Artec Leo HD, we took the opportunity to scan a copy of the sprayer in Friesland, Lower Saxony. With minimal time investment, we were able to build our project using a reference model with a scanning accuracy of 0.3mm and then bring it to Farming Simulator 22.
