For more than 20 years, the best tractor drivers in the Alpine region have competed in the Lindner Geotrac Supercup and will compete in the Lindner Lintrac Supercup from 2023 on. Due to Corona hitting the world in 2020 events were canceled as well as the Lindner Geotrac Supercup.
A new way to make the race possible had to be found and time was short. This is how the Lindner Lintrac Supercup virtual was born where players could virtually race the course, known from the real life supercup, for the best times. In addition to challenging obstacles that must be mastered on time, the riders have to be careful not to knock over pylons with tennis balls and get penalty seconds.
After two years of Lintrac Supercup virtual it is now a fixed part of Lintrac Supercup where drivers race for the best times in real tractors and virtually. In order to make it available to as many people as possible, the expansion was developed not only for PC and MAC, but also for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Players can now join game servers hosted by Lindner to exercise, during competitions the times are stopped and logged automatically on the servers.
The Lintrac Supercup
The Lindtrac Supercup was launched over 20 years ago. The aim of this competition is to determine the best driver by means of skill tasks! Today, the first set of laps are completed in Farming Simulator. The playing phase takes place in an original Lintrac cabin to get participants in the perfect mood for the real course. The real course is designed to be quicker and more demanding. With the Lintrac 100, drivers must complete obstacles at an angle and maneuvers in confined spaces under time pressure.

We built our own simulator cabin for it, which was even displayed at the Innovation Corner of the Vienna Technical Museum. The virtual course
To make the virtual parkour appealing and immersive for the players, many new interactive objects have been created and placed around the arena to form the course. As in the original version, cones with balls have been placed, which give a time penalty if knocked over. One particular highlight is the seesaw, on which the players have to balance their vehicle for a certain amount of time to be allowed to continue!

Bringing the competition into the game
The Lintrac Supercup was brought into Farming Simulator 22 so that the competition could continue despite the coronavirus pandemic! To provide the tools for a fair competition, we have created special mechanics for this purpose! This includes a tutorial video for inexperienced participants, a mechanism for determining time penalties and a leaderboard.
